Mechanical Engineering is the science of exploring the natural resources of power and propulsion and materials of engineering construction through the design, development, production, installation and operation of power plants, transport equipment and industrial plants besides the organization and administration of such plants. It continues to play a key role in developing, operating and manufacturing new machines, devices and processes to benefit mankind. Mechanical engineers apply their creative imaginations and professional skills to combine both theory and practice in a variety of situations. Keeping itself up to date with the latest developments and trends in the field and with a dedicated faculty of highly qualified and experienced members in all streams of mechanical engineering, the department consistently strives to provide world-class facilities for education and research. An interactive relationship is maintained between the students and staff which enables the students to develop a sound foundation in the stream in a conducive environment

Message From Head of Department

It takes ecstasy to usher a department that “Builds machines that will build machines”. The hallucination of the department is to create centers of excellence in the field of manufacturing engineering and hastening entrepreneurship with value-based- edification litigation. The role of a mechanical engineer is to take a product from an idea to the marketplace. In order to accomplish this, a broad range of skills are needed. Our objective is not to merely produce professionals proficient to suffice their own needs but endeavor to avail the society. We bring out peculiarity in them and devise machines that work with state-of-art-of-equipment. Our department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty and staff members and we are striving to conquer the present perforce of tactic and technology.
